NTI hosts the 28th National Radio Science Conference cooperatively with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology

Organized by National Telecommunication Institute and Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, the 28th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC) is held from 26th to 28th April, 2011, at the NTI headquarters in Nasr City.

The event is organized under the umbrella of minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, and minister of MCIT, Dr. Magued Osman. The conference also is chaired by Prof. Said E. El-Khamy, and by NTI Director, Dr. Ahmed El. Sherbini, and the conference general secretary is Prof. El-Sayed Mostafa Saad.

The National Radio Science Conference is the most prominent event related to communications and radio science held in Egypt. 127 pieces of research were presented of which 67 are finally accepted, in addition to two researches are invited to the conference. These researches cover several fields such as electromagnetic metrology, fields and waves, electromagnetic in biology and medicine.

The researches were arbitrated by 64 professors of 16 universities, in addition to Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Electronic Research Institute, and NTI, and Faculty of Air Defense.

Amongst the participants at the conference there are 16 Egyptian universities and research centers and some other governmental and private entities. The conference also gathers 9 universities from Arab countries such as Jordan, Sudan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Manchester University- England, La Place Toulouse Laboratory- France and Jackson State University- the United States of America.

In recognition to the ICT and Radio scientists, the conference this year honors two of the Egyptian scientists in this field; Emeritus Professor in Cairo Engineering Faculty, Abdel Wahab Fayez Hassan, and Emeritus Professor in Azhar Engineering Faculty.
