NTI cooperates with Ahram-Canadian University to organize the 2nd International Conference on Cybercrime & Information Security

The Second International Conference on Cybercrime & Information Security was organized on the period from 1st to 2nd December, 2010 cooperatively between the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), Cairo University and The Ahram Canadian University. The Conference took place at the NTI headquarters in Smart Village.

Computer security has become a legal and a technical issue of crucial importance for many organizations and the Government. It will only become more important with new regulatory security mandates, emerging civil liability theories and National security concerns. There are legal strategies and actions, which can and should be taken to manage security compliance and risks, but too few lawyers and executives even recognize the problems. Information security means protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction On this basis, the Faculty of Computer Science & IT at Al-Ahram Canadian University in Egypt in a cooperation with Cairo University, and National Telecommunication Institute, is calling for papers to be submitted to conference on Cybercrime & Information Security which addressing theoretical, empirical and policy issues related to this theme.
