Dr. Ahmed El Sherbini and the Heads of scientific departments welcomed the delegation from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Communications of Malta at the National Telecommunication Institute headquarters in the Smart Village on the 6th of June 2010.The delegation was headed by Dr.Austin Gatt, The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications of Malta.
Malta delegation was presented by:
- Mr.Anthony Mifsud Bonnici, Private Secretary to the Minister.
- Mr.Emanuel Delia, Head of Minister's Secretariat.
- Mr.Joe Schembri, Policy Manager for Malta Shipyards, Roads, FTTU (Fiber deployment), Malta Transport, New aircraft register implementation.
They took a tour inside the NTI building to see the different kinds of NTI's activities and finally discussed how the Egyptian National Telecommunication Institute and the Malta's Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Communications can cooperate together at the upcoming period in the field of Training, Consultancy Services and Technical Support.
During their tour inside the NTI building the delegation visited the NTI e-Learning center and the Malta's Minister praised the role of the NTI in the e-Learning and content development field. Moreover the NTI received an invitation from the Minister to attend the Malta's smart Village Opening Ceremony.
