Commonwealth Calibers' Training Program Kicks off at NTI

The National Telecommunications Institute (NTI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  kicked off the training program for the Commonwealth countries' calibers to be held at the NTI premises from 18th to 22nd of November, 2007.

A total of 11 calibers from the two countries of Kazakhstan and kyrgyzstan will be trained for a week at the NTI till 22nd of November.

The training program has been held as part of the cooperation between the NTI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NTI Director Dr. Ahmed El-Sherbini said this training course will facilitate for the trainees a good opportunity to be acquainted with theoretical and practical aspects about wireless networks and network security.

He pointed out that holding this program goes in line with the NTI's concern in cooperating with the Foreign Ministry to help boost ties between Egypt and the Commonwealth countries.

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) was founded in 1984 to be a scientific institute with university status affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. NTI is considered a center of excellence, a leading training and educational institution, and focal point for applied research activities in the field of telecommunications not only in Egypt but also in the Arab and African regions.
