Minister Kamel Witnesses Graduation Ceremony of "ICT Experts in Africa Training Program"

Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology witnessed yesterday graduation ceremony of 22 African Information and Communications Technology (ICT) engineers from 14 countries.

The specialized three-week training program, organized by MCIT- in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) tackled the latest developments in the field of telecommunications circuits technology.

According to NTI Director Dr. Ahmed El-Sherbini, this year’s intake is considered to be the most successful with 22 trainers from 14 African countries including Ghana, Mozambique, Kenya, Mauritius, Gambia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Rwanda, Mali, Tanzania, Mauritania, Congo, Zambia and Chad.

Training material included communications networks, latest developments in telephone exchanges and satellite, GSM and CDMA systems.
