A workshop on Assistance to the Arab Region for the implementation of Next Generation Networks (NGN).

A workshop on Assistance to the Arab Region for the implementation of Next Generation Networks (NGN) was organized on the period from 15th to 16th December, 2009 cooperatively between the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The workshop was held at the NTI headquarters in the Smart Village.

The workshop was an interactive learning experience for over 36 participants, including representatives from 10 countries. 15 participants from Egypt, 3 from Iraq, 1 from Saudi Arabia, 1 from Sudan, 1 Palestine, 1 from Djibouti, 2 from Libya, 4 from Indonesia, 1 from Mauritania, 2 participants from Syria and five speakers from Spain , Serbia , France , Saudi Arabia , Egypt.

Workshop day one was for the official opening Ceremony and the welcome speeches by the ITU ARO representative and the NTI representative, followed by two sessions; the first session's speakers was "Mr. Marco Carugi", "Mr.Ghassem Koleyni" and "Mr. Oscar Gonzalez Soto" the second was "Dr.Amany Sabry".

Day two was represented in three sessions; the first session's speaker was "Mrs.Natasa Gospic", "Mr. Oscar Gonzalez Soto", the second was "Mr.Ghassem Koleyni", "Mrs.Natasa Gospic" and "Mr. Oscar Gonzalez Soto" the third was "Mrs.Natasa Gospic", "Mr. Oscar Gonzalez Soto" followed by a Panel Discussion and the Closing Ceremony.
